WHY RADIO SCHOOL IN HAITIRadio School Antena

Radio School Teacher's handIn today’s technological world and developing environment, educational attainment by children, women, individuals and communities are crucial.  Lack of educational modules and incentive methods can cripple a generation for years to come.  Improving the current Haitian educational system and current learning methods have been the main focus of MMA for over twelve years.

In Haiti, every day, over one Million students are attending primary, elementary, and secondary schools. Over half of that population is living in the provinces, mountain regions, and rural areas with no electricity and are forced to accommodate their study under kerosene lamps, and any other rudimentary lighting methods they can find.

MMA Wants To Change That

Radio School / Radio Ιcole is a new type of learning that all Haitian students have been waiting for and all Haitian citizens have been dreaming about. Radio School / Radio Ιcole will empower Haitian students to a new leverage of educational opportunity developed by a team of educational experts from the United States, Canada, Europe, and the Caribbean.

Radio School / Radio Ιcole is a new educational alternative developed by the Million Member Assembly (MMA) and its partners in Haiti to introduce distance learning module programs to all Haitian students living in areas were energy and electricity are non existent.  

Radio Ecole distance learning MaterialsRadio School / Radio Ιcole will give the Haitians masses living in the provinces, the mountain regions, and rural areas of Haiti access to a broad array of health care awareness education and prevention through air wave.

The programming will create educational training for Haitian teachers, develop evangelism programs through bible study courses in the air, and mainly provide guidance on human rights preservation, family reconciliation and other educational resources develop by foreign, local scholars, and other educational experts.

 Radio School / Radio Ιcole Methodology

 Radio School / Radio Ιcole will broadcast in AM stereo with a powerful range between 10 to 50 kilowatts transmission. Such intensity will allow digital sound to the mountain regions 24/7.  MMA has also acquired more than 8 FM stations that will broadcast similar programs in FM stereo and deliver its educational programs with a crisp clarity of digital quality for people living in Port-au-Prince, Jacmel, Cap-Haitian, Hinche, Gonaives, Jeremie, les Cayes, and Port-de-Paix.  Radio School / Radio Ιcole will be the first and only existing educational radio station to provide digital sound for all of Haitian students throughout Haiti.

 Making General Education Available to All Haitian through Radio

RadioRadio School / Radio Ιcole will focus its curriculum on primary and secondary education. Radio School / Radio Ιcole will develop create follow-up books, materials, brochures to accommodate students and teachers.

 Radio School / Radio Ιcole will work and associate its programming under the guidance of the State programs and educational curriculum.

 Distance Learning developers and foreign experts from the United States, Europe and Canada have been established in Haiti for the past five years, to work as guidance counselor, program developers, and serve as liaison officer between MMA and the State educational system.

 The overall participation and joint expertise of hundred of foreign educators, with local teachers, educators and Haitian scholars is a guarantee of success for all involved.
