Cancer Awareness Programs
MMA mission on cancer awareness issues is to save lives by increasing attentiveness of the minority and the community at large on
For the past two decades, MMA has played a vital role in helping thousands of African American, Latino and women from other ethnicities find free mammograms, direct support services and proper educational programs in their respective languages and dialects. MMA creates, develops, and distribute materials related to cancer awareness in French, Creole and Spanish and has the capacity to translate these messages to other languages spoken by other immigrant groups.
MMA accomplished its mission by fostering strategic alliances with corporations who support cancer awareness and prevention the efforts. MMA has also developed joint programs with the religious community, grassroots organizations, community centers, neighborhood programs, and the medical facilities for educational programs, awareness, free support, and counseling.
MMA has been the pioneer in developing Family Talk On Cancer. The success of the program was mainly due to the openness and the facilitation on presentation issues related to
